THE BRIEF
CJ Ink Designs started as a creative outlet and grew into my freelance practice. The challenge was to build a professional identity for myself that balanced personality with credibility, something that reflects both my trade background and my design journey while setting the standard for the kind of client work I want to attract.
THE SOLUTION
I approached the project like I would with a client: running strategy, moodboards, iterative sketching, and critique. The final system is built around a hexagonal monogram, a nod to the cross-section of a pencil and my woodworking and design past combined with a bold wordmark. The palette gives the brand warmth and confidence. To bring personality, I developed mascots, a logo system, and merch applications, rolling the identity across digital and physical touchpoints.
